Decision and Goal
Back in 2005 we made the bold decision to start development on a new system solution to add to our portfolio which would incorporate the following criteria:-
• Make the best use of modern technology - topicplus+ runs on a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, php).
• Creating a topic system solution that would be user-friendly whilst still being flexible.
• Remove the technological aspect away from the customer - simplifying the things that are essential to the customer.
• Enhancing the service that the customer provides to the client.
• Hosted secure solution.
Forward thinking
We have spent a considerable time researching current and future technologies as well as the needs of the modern travel and leisure operator. We wanted to make sure that the topicplus+ system solution would not only cover what was required by the industry, but would allow the customer to expand, increase profitability and evolve their products and company.
As you can imagine, we didn't take this decision lightly - topic is one of the most comprehensive and versatile tour operating systems on the market - so designing, developing and launching another product that matches it, let alone surpasses it, was a massive task.
